Liebovich/PDM Steel & Aluminum Company is a highly respected, well-known steel service center located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, servicing the Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, & Wisconsin markets. Originally known as "Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Co. - Warehouse Sales Division", the company began in Des Moines, Iowa as a division of Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Co. in 1954 providing customers the quality, service & reliability that has become our "trade-mark of distinction." Our customer base included anyone needing steel from blacksmith shops to manufacturers and fabricators and everyone in between. If steel was needed, we could supply it. The Cedar Rapids facility was built in 1973 under the name of PDM Steel Service Centers. It was expanded for the first time in 1982 to facilitate the combining of the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids locations in order to better serve their/our customers. In 2001 Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. purchased PDM Steel Service Centers, Inc. In 2002, PDM Cedar Rapids became a division of Liebovich Bros. Inc. and became known as Liebovich/PDM Steel & Aluminum Company. This new alliance opened many additional opportunities in providing processing, products, and services that help us better serve our customers, as well as the ability to provide new services and products to new and existing customers under our service umbrella.
